The traffic division of the Columbia Public Works Department will be working on the traffic signal at Providence Road and Vandiver Drive beginning Monday, April 18.

According to a city news release, the traffic division will install a new signal cabinet and flashing yellow arrows. Work should be completed by April 22, according to the release.

Until work is completed, the signals will be flashing, indicating that all-way stops are in place, and lane closures will occur on Providence Road. The Public Works Department urges motorists and pedestrians to use alternate routes when possible.
