Pilates studio to hold grand opening on Artrageous Friday

A ribbon-cutting ceremony will mark the grand opening of Open Studio Pilates with the Columbia Chamber of Commerce on Friday, April 15.

The event will begin at 6 p.m. at Open Studio Pilates, 300 St. James St., Suite 102, in the North Village Arts District. It is part of Artrageous Fridays, a free, quarterly event from 6 to 9 p.m. in downtown Columbia. Pilates students will demonstrate exercises and instructor Laura Detert will discuss acrylic painting techniques using the art on display in her studio.

Other new Artrageous members participating Friday include Cherry Hill Massage at 307 Locust St.; Mayecreate Design at 307 Locust St.; Missouri Contemporary Ballet at 110 Orr St., Suite 102; The Mudd Room at 1103 E. Walnut St.; and the “We Always Swing” Jazz Series at 218 N. Eighth St.
