Do you like to garden? Have you always wanted to try it? The Community Garden Coalition’s annual organizing meeting‚ the Spring Thaw Community Gardening Kick-Off, is being held from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, March 13, at the Activity and Recreation Center, 1701 W. Ash Street.

At the meeting, people can sign up for individual plots and learn how to start a community garden. Gardeners of all levels are welcome to come and meet fellow gardeners and garden leaders.

The Community Garden Coalition assists community gardens with seed, tools and soil preparation, among other services, free of charge.

More information about the Community Garden Coalition or community gardening is available at the Community Garden Coalition’s website.
