Cars lined the Parkade Baptist Church parking lot and trunks were filled with goodies, pumpkins and the occasional scarecrow as the church hosted “Trunk or Treat” on Sunday, Oct. 31, for children up to the fifth grade to go “trick or treat” from various cars.
The event was earlier in the evening, and it gave the younger children a chance to come out and trick or treat before it was too dark.
Upon entering the parking lot, children were given a pre-written thank you note, which they would sign and return as they left, to show their appreciation for all of the patrons who were generous enough to give their time and sweets.
Once the children were done gathering candy, they could go inside for arts and crafts and dancing under a black light to Halloween-themed music.
