The night started off at the West Broadway HyVee where families gathered to have their pictures taken and collect candy from costumed employees. Some popular costumes were Harry Potter, the Kiss army and the Scooby Doo gang.
Meanwhile, many families headed to Trinity Lutheran Church on Rollins Road at 5:30 p.m. to participate in the Trunk-or-Treat. The main portion involved a costume contest, which was won by a little girl in a pony costume. Many people decorated their trunks with pumpkins and gourds, while others laid out games for the children. About 100 people attended.
