The driver of a black Ford Taurus struck a man as he was running across West Broadway on Sunday.
The intoxicated pedestrian was hit at the corner of West Broadway and Park DeVille at 4:45 p.m. The pedestrian had minor injuries and no charges will be filed.
“(The pedestrian) admitted to having eight or nine beers at Truman’s, that’s where he was coming from,” Columbia Police Officer Lindsey Mueller said.
Mueller added that he should not have run out into the street.
The pedestrian suffered minor cuts on his face and left hand. A University Hospital ambulance came to the scene, but the man declined to be taken hospital.
A small dent on the front of the car was the only visible damage.
