Jefferson Junior kicks off centennial celebration

Jefferson Junior High School alumni and former staff are invited to attend the 50th annual football game against rival West Junior High at 6 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 21 at the Robert LeMone Field at Hickman High School, 1104 N. Providence Road, to celebrate Jefferson Junior’s 100th year.

Admission is $2 for adults, $1 for students and free for anyone wearing Jefferson Junior’s anniversary t-shirt, which will be on sale at the game for $10. Alumni will be recognized before and during the game.

The school opened Jan. 3, 1911. The football game is the first of several events to commemorate the occasion.
