The Citizen Jane Film Festival is back for its third year. Beginning Oct. 15, the festival features films directed, written, produced and edited by women.
The festival is in collaboration with Stephens College, which, since 2004, has invited female filmmakers, producers, and writers from all over the country to present their films in Columbia as part of the Citizen Jane Film Series, according to the festival’s website.
Growing out of the success of the film series, the Citizen Jane Film Festival first premiered in October 2008.
The festival’s films include “Cooked,” “Fish Out of Water,” “It’s Kind of a Funny Story,” and many more. Click here to view a complete list of the featured films.
The festival will take place all weekend at different areas of Columbia including Stephens College, Ragtag Cinema, Uprise Bakery and Café, and the Missouri Theatre. For a full list of times and locations, view the schedule here.
