Stephens College to host International Hunt Seat Invitational

Stephens College has been selected to host the 2010 International Hunt Seat Invitational, which is being held Nov. 18 through Nov. 20 in the Stephens Stables.

The invitational, sponsored by the American Morgan Horse Association, will have an eight-member Stephens team competing against a Morgan team.

Try-outs for the competition were held Oct. 3.

The members who made the team are:

  • Anastasia Dryjanski
  • Elsie Vieira
  • Caitlin Schneider
  • Maggie Croy
  • Libby Enriquez
  • Sarah Briker
  • Taryn Kobeski,
  • Brittany Logan

The practices will be held Nov. 18 and Nov. 19 and will be open to the public.  The competition, which will also be open to the public free of charge, will be held Nov. 20 from 9:00 a.m. to noon and 2:30 to 5 p.m.

Stephens College’s riding program began in 1925 and is home to the Prince of Wales Club, the oldest continually active riding club in the country.
