Missouri Center for the Book to host its annual Celebration of the Book

The Missouri Center for the Book is hosting its annual Celebration of the Book. It it scheduled be held from 12:30 to 6 p.m., Oct. 23, in Dudley Hall at Stephens College. There is a registration fee of $25.

The celebration is jointly sponsored by the Center for the Book and the Stephens College English-Creative Writing Department, according to a news release from the college.

The line-up of authors will feature John Lutz, Robin Wayne Bailey, Fran Baker and Time Lane. Books from these authors will be for sale with a chance to get the book signed.

There will also be a special presentation by Catherine Parisian, the editor of The “First White House Library”. She is an assistant professor of English at the University of North Carolina.

The Missouri Center for the Book was established in 1993 and is located at the Missouri State Library in Jefferson City, according to the release.
