Final PS Gallery Seasonal Exhibit now open, big announcement at reception

Perlow-Stephens Gallery kicked off its 2010 autumn art exhibit Wednesday, Sept. 29. The exhibit will run through Dec. 30, and is the last season exhibit to be held at the gallery.

Joel Sager, curator and permanent artist in the gallery said he’s excited about this exhibit.

“We will be having a big announcement because our lease is up at the end of February,” Sager said. What that big announcement will be is not yet known. Sager said it will not be revealed until the night of the reception, which will take place from 6 to 9  p.m. Oct. 2 at the gallery.

The reception is free and open to the public. Wine will be served as well as hors devours prepared by Sycamore Restaurant.

6 artists will be featured with new work across a range of media including:

  • bronze sculpture
  • ceramic teapot
  • oil painting
  • pastels drawing
  • fiber art
  • wallpaper mixed media painting

The artists include:

  • Mary Ann Clark of Manhattan, Kan.
  • Lorri Acott-Fowler of Fort Collins, Colo.
  • Brett Grill of Columbia and an MU faculty member
  • Nora Othic of Marceline.
  • Joel Sager of Columbia, a curator and permanent artist
  • Jo Stealey of Columbia
