New cultural initiative hits downtown

Museums, Entertainment, History, and Art, or MEHA, is the result of a collaboration between The District and Columbia’s Office of Cultural Affairs, supported in part by the Missouri Arts Council.

MEHA, pronounced me-hah, is a group of seven local cultural institutions, including:

The initiative was started to organize The District’s cultural attractions, while educating the public, according to Persephone Dakopolos, the Director of Business Services for The District.

Dakopolos said she hopes that soon the calendar will consist of collaborative events in addition to what individual businesses have planned.
