University of Missouri School of Law graduates were met with beautiful weather, a winning home game and familiar faces at the annual Law Day and class reunions this past weekend.

The graduates were invited back to Columbia to attend a luncheon, awards ceremony and picnic. At the Mizzou vs. McNeese State University game on Saturday, they filled part of the law school block.

Casey Baker, the school’s director of external relations, said a few Columbia residents were awarded at the homecoming, including Ronald E. Smull, ’66; Craig Van Matre,’70; and recently relocated Susan Ford Robertson, ’86.

Baker said the school also had an award presented posthumously to associate dean Jim Devine, who died in May.

“Jim had been at the law school for years, and it was really a rock for the students and others here,” Baker said.
