Looking for something to do? Here are some of this month’s events at the Columbia Public Library.

Sunday, Sept. 12: Tunes at Two

Local musician Paul Fotsch will perform from 2 to 3 p.m. on the Reading Balcony.

Friday, Sept. 17: Party with the Stars

Gaze at Jupiter and discuss the autumn sky with the Central Missouri Astronomical Association from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. at the Gene Martin Secret Garden.

Sunday, Sept. 19: Talk Like a Pirate Day

Kids ages 6 to 12 can celebrate Talk Like a Pirate Day with pirate-themed games from 2 to 3 p.m. in the Children’s Area Program Room.

Saturday, Sept. 25: Genealogy Help

If you’re interested in researching your ancestors, stop by the library for an informational session on how to use genealogy databases from 10 a.m. to noon in the Training Center.
