MU will host its sixth annual campus gallery and museum crawl from 4 to 7 p.m., Sept. 23, at various locations on MU’s campus.
According to an MU news release, crawl sites will include The George Caleb Bingham Gallery, Laws Observatory, State Historical Society of Missouri, The Residence on Francis Quadrangle, Craft Studio Gallery, Missouri Historic Costume & Textile Collection, the Anthropology museum and the Art & Archaeology museum.
Attendees will receive a postcard at their first location, or they can print them out ahead of time at the Gallery Crawl website, according to the release. They can get it stamped at each place they visit. Those boasting eight stamps by the end of the crawl will be in the running to win shirts, free classes, and other prizes. Entrants only need to provide a completely stamped card and email address to win, and do not need to be present, according to the release.
Crawlers can make their start at any of the eight locations. Refreshments will be served at each spot until 7 p.m. All crawl locations will close at 7 p.m., but the observatory will be open until 10 p.m., according to the release.
A new feature for this year’s crawl is the Laws Observatory after party. Attendees can enjoy appetizers, entertainment, and a cash bar, according to the release.
This event is free and open to the public.
