The U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service’s local offices are in the Smithton-Rothwell Heights neighborhood of Columbia. The office hosts activities throughout the year for children and families who want to get involved with Boone County’s wildlife community. One of their fall volunteer programs is the Missouri River Relief event. It includes local trail and river clean-ups for people of all ages.
