Free film & food for Columbia College students

Columbia College students can see a free movie and eat Shakespeare’s pizza from 6:30 to 10 p.m. Friday, Aug. 27.

Students will meet at the Atkins-Holman Student Commons information desk at 6:30 p.m. and walk together as a group to Ragtag Cinema, according to Kim Coke, director of student development at Columbia College.

“The idea is to get new students and returning students connected to local places that really make Columbia Columbia,” Coke said.

Students will watch the premier showing of “Get Low” at the Ragtag, according to Coke.

Students afterward will walk to Shakespeare’s Pizza, where the back room has been reserved.

Students must present their Columbia College student ID to enjoy the evening for free, according to the college’s Cougarlink calendar.
