Bike boulevard work could interfere with traffic, parking on Windsor Street

There will be no parking allowed on either side of Windsor Street from College Avenue to Ann Street this Saturday from 7 a.m. until noon.

The parking restriction is being put in place due to line striping occurring on a portion of the Bike Boulevard project. This roadwork will be weather permitting.

Although Windsor Street will not be closed, the striping could potentially interrupt traffic patterns on Windsor Street. Motorists are asked to avoid paint-striping equipment and freshly painted lines and to use alternative routes whenever possible.

Walnut Street will be a convenient alternative to motorists who want to avoid any traffic congestion.

Saturday’s work on the Bike Boulevard moves the project even closer to its planned completion at the end of this summer.

More updates on Bike Boulevard are soon to follow.
